Amphitheater, view of the southeast corner, depicting amphitheater seating (the amphitheater was laid out by N. Tribolo in 1549, built by Giulio and A. Parigi from 1618, based on a Roman circus)
The Boboli Gardens were begun in 1549 by Nicolo Pericoli, known as 'Tribolo', a pupil of Michelangelo; work was continued in 1583, probably by Ammannati & Buontalenti, completed in the 17C by Alfonso Parigi & others.
