Designed by I. M. Pei, the World Trade Center Baltimore is located at the water's edge of the famous Inner Harbor and was constructed between 1973 and 1977 at a cost of $22 million dollars. The world's tallest pentagonal building, it rises 423 feet above the ground and offers a 360 degree view of the horizon. The Center is headquarters to the Maryland Port Authority, as well as a variety of local firms involved with international trade and commerce.
