The tower of the Stock Exchange is the building which dominates the landscape on arrival to Montreal. Raised in 1964 according to the plans of famous Italian engineers, Luigi Moretti and Pier Luigi Nervi. The elegant black tower of 47 floors which shelters the offices and the parquet floor of the Stock Exchange is one of the many buildings montr?alais drawn by creators come besides. Its construction was supposed to give new life within the business district of the of the old city, forsaken since the crash of 1929 with the profit of the surroundings of the Dorchester public garden. The preliminary draft envisaged the construction of two, even of three identical towers.
