The term 'Art Deco' describes the modern architecture that emerged in the 1920's and 1930's. About 650 significant buildings in Miami Beach's mile square Art Deco district are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A sampling of these buildings is presented in the images described below. Most are located on Ocean Drive.
