Built 1986. Project Description: The exterior of this building is modest and residential in appearance. Clad in simple grey cedar siding, the museum is one story high over most of its length, although a narrow second floor and mezzanine run along its south side. The impressive interior spaces of the 402- by 142-foot building feature 40- by 20-foot viewing galleries for the art collection. A skylight and a system of innovative louvers provide diffused lighting throughout the gallery spaces within. Project cost: $25 million.
