Built 1986. Project Description: This addition, including a graceful U-shaped extension to the existing library, was designed around the classical facade of the old north wall. The mall level of the addition features the original arched windows. Also included in the project was the restoration of Memorial Hall, which now resembles the former grandeur of the original design by McKim, Mead and White. The University overhauled the mechanical systems in the original building as well, providing improved electrical and computer wiring and air conditioning. Project cost: $10 million.
