Completion Date: 1626. Project Description: A central tree-lined promenade is flanked by ecological, alimentary, genetic and ornamental sections. In addition, several greenhouses and a hilltop pergola can be found in this urban park. Project History: Jean Herouard and Guy de La Brosse founded royal garden of medicinal plants, Buffon, whose stewardship lasted from 1739 to 1788, divided the garden into ecological, alimentary, genetic and ornamental sections. The Robinier Faux-Acacia was planted by Vespasien Robin as experimental garden in 1601. The greenhouses are known as Les Serres Coloniales and Les Serres Tropicales.
