Description	Gilt bronze Dharmapala. Astride mule, on base. (See restrictions, below) Lhamo is one of the eight Dharmapalas (protectors of the faith). This terrifying female destroys enemies of the faith with her Khatvanga (magic wand) and collects their blood in the Kapala (skull cup) held in her left hand. On the haunch of the mule is an eye. The saddle blanket is the skin of Lhamo's son who was false to Lamaism. NO TESTING, NOR OPENING, NOR PRODDING, TAMPERING OR X-RAYING (TO SEE INTERIOR OR OTHER INTRUSIVE PROCEDURES) OF ANY OF TIBETAN FIGURES. In Tibetan objects most bronze figures are with a prayer enclosed and sealed in; they are then considered sacred.
