A panel of medical and public policy experts describe the medical science behind the virus; what to expect during this flu season; what individuals should do if they catch the flu, including a discussion of vaccines; and implications for schools, businesses and other entities that may be impacted by the virus. The program is hosted by NET Television producer/reporter Mike Tobias and was videotaped before an audience at North Star High School in Lincoln. The 'Flu Facts' panel includes: Dr. Susan Gourley, superintendent, Lincoln Public Schools; Dr. Peter Iwen, associate professor, Department of Pathology and Microbiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and associate director of the Nebraska Public Health Laboratory; Dr. Robert Rhodes, family practice physician, Lincoln; and Dr. Joann Schaefer, Nebraska's chief medical officer.
