Notes	"The We'-ba-zha-bi, an implement made from the leg bone of an elk, the lower end serrated, and a leather band fastened below the ball of the joint, forming the top of the scraper. This was the first instrument used in skin dressing, with it all bits of fat or flesh were removed and the pelt made ready for the next instrument"(La Flesche 1898:27)"The second implement used was the We'-u-hi. It was made from the antler of the elk. The sharp knife bound on by sinew used to be of flint. With it she evened the hide after it had passed through a process of soaking and drying"(La Flesche 1898:27-28)"The third implement used, the We'-ba-mon, a flaked stone, with which the hide is made soft and flexible, and prepared for the final process of rubbing with a raw-hide rope"(La Flesche 1898:28).
