Notes	Located in the Tujunga Wash flood control channel of the LA County Flood Control District in the San Fernando Valley, CA. Project Description: This immense work presents an historical portrayal of the lives and concerns of California's diverse ethnic population. Future murals will be added to this ambitious project. Sponsored by the Social Public Arts Resource Center (SPARC) in 1975, this ongoing mural extends three-fourths of a mile along the eastern wall of a drainage canal. [Note: the artist's site says that the mural is 'sponsored by the City- County- State and Federal Government as well as the Jewish Community Foundation, California Council on Humanities, National Endowment for the Arts- Animating Democracy, The FORD Foundation Rockefeller PACT Fund and other individual and corporate donors.'
