Notes	The compositions and motifs of David's art were disseminated in Antwerp after David joined the guild there in 1515. This panel synthesizes features of his work with characteristics of Antwerp painting of about 1520; the extravagantly dressed onlookers at the right are a pure invention of Antwerp art, as is the prominent landscape view with travellers carrying goods for trade.
