Sponsor/Developer: N.A.S.A., Clark University Project Description: This memorial has two elements � a 12-foot horizontal stainless steel plate set in granite, and a 48-foot-tall stainless steel tower � located 95 feet apart. The two objects define the precise parabolic curve of a rocket after it leaves earth. This memorial was constructed to remember the mathematical and engineering genius of rocket pioneer Robert Hutchings Goddard. Project History: Project Cost: $71,750.
