:
Four
enormous
geometric
metal
shapes
dominate
and
redefine
the
partially
enclosed
entryway
of the
bank.
The
brushed
aluminum
surface
of the
sculpture
catches
the
changing
light
,
making
the
massive
shapes
appear
to
rest
lightly
on the
site.
Project
History
:
Heizer's
work
is
one
of
five
artworks
located
at the
site
of the
new
Wells
Fargo
Bank
in
Los
Angeles.
The
building
and
surrounding
area
were
part
of a
community
redevelopment
project.
Other
projects
,
including
sculptures
by
Frank
Stella
and
Bruce
Nauman
, are
located
nearby.
