Notes	Sponsor/Developer: private contributions, One Percent for Art funds administered by the Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency. Project Location: outdoor lobby of Wells Fargo Building (now Citigroup Center), 444 South Flower Street, Bunker Hill area , Los Angeles, CA. Project Description: Four enormous geometric metal shapes dominate and redefine the partially enclosed entryway of the bank. The brushed aluminum surface of the sculpture catches the changing light, making the massive shapes appear to rest lightly on the site. Project History: Heizer's work is one of five artworks located at the site of the new Wells Fargo Bank in Los Angeles. The building and surrounding area were part of a community redevelopment project. Other projects, including sculptures by Frank Stella and Bruce Nauman, are located nearby. [North' (two rectangles), 'East' (an inverted frustum), 'South' (upright cone), and 'West' (wedge). Note: the Smithsonian Institution Research Information System (SIRIS) identifies the material as stainless steel, as does the Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles.
