Notes	Project Location: Westchester Square, New York, NY. Sponsor/Developer: Public Art Fund Inc. Project Description: This sculpture consists of an empty chair decorated with laurel wreath, stars and stripes and other motifs, mounted on top of a red-granite base. The stone base is engraved with a ring of wild boars. A bronze Miriam-Webster Dictionary opened to a color plate rests under the chair. Saunders intends the naturally bright green patina of the bronze chair, coupled with the red granite foundation stone, to emphasize the natural colors already present in the park. Project History: The installation is sponsored by the Public Art Fund Inc., and is produced in cooperation with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation with support from the Samuel and May Rudin Foundation, John J. Reynolds Inc., Con Edison, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the Bronx Borough President's Office and the New York State Council on the Arts.
